Hopelessly Devoted to You.

The forest has captured me, its roots firmly grounded in my thoughts. Carefully I’ve planted this oasis, each tree diverse and filled with every ounce of inner purpose. Each sprout determined by destiny, some to reach potential, some to die from drought. Distracted and used, the forest seeks to save me. It’s sending its branches to reach for me.  The branches reach for me, holding me still as others claim the universe. The mountains scream for me to run, the Ocean calls for me to plunge deep into the see. I hear their howls.  The sky, it rescued me, but its winds could not break me free from my hopeless disposition. Hopelessly devoted, I fall deeper into the soil; I am the creator here, a safe place for my bleeding heart to mend with scars of the costs of devotion. Alone, but at peace I’ve found Hope for the Hopeless.
